What can you do about it? Stop complaining and get on with life.
Or move to a place with a more bearable climate??

Don't agree - this is very well CH-specific. Most of Europe has much better (sunnier, drier, warmer) weather on average.
Yes, if you have mountains, you have a bit more rain. I have lived in the Netherlands before I came here and the weather was not better. Same for Germany, Belgium, Northern France, Austria... pretty much everywhere left and right and up North. Yes, Southern Europe has more sun.

Re: Weather rant

My husband and I always have "mid week break" with more beers than are generally healthy, or advisable for the next morning, but whatever working sucks. This is our Wednesday tradition. I have a feeling it will have to happen on Tuesday this week; this rain is nutsballs.

And crfesi Taco Tuesday is the bomb, we always have Fajita Friday! Rock on!

I grew up in Austria and the weather there is a zillion times better than in CH. According to weather.com, in the last couple of weeks there was only a single day with temperatures below 20° - http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...nthly/AUXX0025

Many shops have them (at least in Basel).
But you know..it is not that difficult to mix some cointreau, triple sec, lime juice and tequila.

Re: Weather rant

Even rainy Vancouver (the clouds hit the mountains and dump) has perfectly nice summers. Calgary, which is just East of the Rockies, is very dry. It's just CH which has crappy summers.

P.S. Taco Tuesday sounds like a great idea. Gives me an excuse to visit the local Mexican grocery.

Re: Weather rant

This is the third year I've tried to grow poblano peppers. And finally, I have a big plants with a ton of blossoms and peppers just starting. I know I bitch and moan about the heat, but I just wish it would come back for a couple more weeks so I could harvest my crop of peppers.

Well, the weather is improving in Bern, and I love the temperature as it is right now, but I am willing to sacrifice my comfort for my pepper obsession.

Sheesh - how can you deny Ticino's solid stats?! Clearly a massive difference.

What we need, though, are the median and temperature range to really know which is better.

Re: Weather rant

You're missing the point. It's called rain. Who cares if it's 20deg or 30deg.

Actually, if it's raining, I would rather 20°C than 30°C...
