Always think November is a great time to go away on hols if you live in CH - its usually the most miserable month - can't do anything in the garden, no proper snow to play with, etc. But always forget what a shock it is to come back from a warm/hot country = thermic shock and a cold! A difference of about 30C when we got back last Thursday.

If the "thermic" shock doesn't kill me, my first restaurant bill will.

| | Re: Weather rant | Quote: | | | | | Yep, part 2 of the frosty winter is on the way, temps such as -16 to -20 for the greater Basel area are expected.
Be prepared for your snot to get solid within minuts walking outside Been there done that when i use to work in a huge freezer warehouse, without the correct protection what ever snot you had in your nose turned rock solid.
Back to the forecast, next week should be mild, slightly colder, the week after however shows drops again to - way to deep for me.
For now we have +9 degrees what makes the snow/ice on my roof shift, creating a noise so loud you think the slates are dropping off with them.
Also when the snow shifts, the girls above us make a delightfull little shreek
Still i jump up and stick to the ceiling trying not to wett my pants when it happens at 2 am..scares the b'djeezes out of me. | | | | | Should make for easy pickings.

Not allot of snow left in Frick today, wonder if the fish outside of our house are still alive, or frozen to fish fingers.. or did the landlord take them inside, could also be..hard to tell from all the ice on top it.
