People chucking their rubbish in non Züri-Sacks!

So I just dumped our rubbish and once again found a big non Züri-Sack in the bin. Someone in our building keeps using non Züri-Sack to throw their rubbish.

I would really love to explore the mind set of this person or family. Do they think they are smart or something? I was close to taking their bag out and sifting through it to nail them. The second option was to take the bag out and leave it on the path with a note saying "Use proper bags you egoistisch Schwein".

In the end I decided that bitching about it on EF would be a better option

Was there a tag or sticker to the sack probably with a price indicator ? If there was, then it would be OK i.e. legit.

Seriously, we should present that post to his Gemeinde's Council of Elders for immediate naturalisation. However I'd also be tempted to fish it out. I spend an inordinate amount on Zurisacks.

This happened in my first week living in Zürich - not knowing any better, I bought the normal bin bags from Coop and used it. Next thing I know, we got a letter pasted on the front door of the building saying that Zürisacks must be used or there will be a fine. Needless to say, I took that notice very seriously and discovered, after combing the entire Coop at Sihlcity that Zürisacks can only be bought at the supermarket counters.

Have there been new tenants in your building? If not, I suggest knocking on every door complaining and zero in on the most shifty eyed/red faced fella.

Only thing on the bag was the Lidl logo I have a rough idea of who this person could be and they actually are Swiss. Although my eagle Swiss trained eyes are on two foreign families too. I wonder who the real culprit is

Did somebody new just move into the building? If so, perhaps they are just unaware.

I didn`t understand about the garbage bags at first. I used white ones that I brought with me from the States, then I used the Coop ones until I happened to be in the post office one day and saw them and read on EF that I was to use a special bag.

Being a foreigner I make it a point to throw my rubbish in broad day light. I also swing my white Züri-Sack around so spying eyes can see that I am a good foreigner

No one new had moved in. This has been going on for a while now. My flat does not have windows on the bin side otherwise I would have waited day and night to shine a spot light on them LOL

My German is bad though. Can I still have it for my observation skills?

Life must be boring if this is all you have to do. Is it really that much of a big deal? I just threw my rubbish away in a black bag, as I'm out of Aargau yellow ones.

I would rather annoy some jobsworth than have my kitchen smelling and attracting flies.

But then again, I'm not very Swiss.............I like to think I have a life.

But I AM an EXPAT! I have cool friends and know that we expats get away with so much more than the locals because this country is dependant on our money!

It is so they can use the money for waste management, hence why we do not live on a pile of rubbish here.

Maybe your the one that should get a life and conform to certain rules that keep this country nice and clean.....

I do not like it but it is something that I think everyone should pay for to keep this place nice

If you have direct view to the bins, install a zoomed live cam and stream for free with:
http://www.ustream.tv/get-started

Call the page something like:
Helfen Sie mir Fang das Schwein - Help me catch the pig

I'm sure EF will support the diffusion.

Wish you a good hunt!
