Passing on Ticketcorner concert tickets - Advice

Greetings!

I had my friend buy me couple of Ed Sheeran concert (the one that is happening next fall) from ticketcorner while I was travelling. I recently realized that the tickets have his name on the backside of the ticket.

Will this be a problem on the day of the concert? The guy who bought me the ticket has since left the country and the customer support have been extremely unhelpful as the event is happening a long time from now. Anyone with a similar experience?

Cheers!

According to their site, yes:

Quote:
The Ed Sheeran ticket will be personalized with the buyers first name and last name. The ticket is not transferable to another person.

Admission to the stadium is only possible with ticket, Ticketcorner booking confirmation and valid passport / ID-Card. The ticket buyer and his companions only receive admission together.

I read the terms and conditions and which is when I realized that this might be a problem. I was wondering how people sell the tickets for concerts in cases where they wont be able to attend?

Are those tickets with no names on them ?

I believe that is the whole point with named tickets. You won't be able to re-sell them as the buyer (name on ticket) has to be present and enter the concert with the group he/she has tickets for.

Ed Sheeran announced before this tour that they wanted to do something to help stop the black market where sharks buy up several tickets only to sell again for a higher price.

I guess you are out of luck unless you convince the buyer to join you for the concert.
