First of all - wow - there were a lot of posts on this while I was offline and sorry for not replying individually to all the helpful posters.
I was actually a little bit wary of logging back in to be perfectly honest, as I thought I might get ripped apart for the OP.
So I've learnt some things already:
1. avatars and names can be quite misleading
2. EFers are on the most part genuinely helpful
3. Rich, hot blokes have no problems finding dates
4. Bears use woodland areas for depositing solids
OK, so technically speaking I am rich. it's er my name ...
I was 'hot' yesterday in House of Fraser trying on my new warm clothes for Switzerland.
Apart from that I'm six foot four, athletic, have all my own teeth and hair and I'm allergic to... dogs . Seriously. I love cats though. (what a sales pitch)
Basically then, the vibe I am getting is if I stop posting this kind of thing, be cool, shut up, turn up - I might find my own way through this mine field.
Merci vilmal

I worry about this too, mostly because my stay is only temporary! I will only be in Zurich from February until July, but I would like to build good friendships and date, and I know some people won't want to put too much into a friendship (or especially any relationship) that will be made more difficult by distance just a few months later
Guess I would be the perfect girl for all the commitment-phobes in Zurich that would be happy to get rid of me after a few months |

During the holidays, a lot of people tried to hook me up or told me about "available" nice girls.
I had to recur to this speech
