For those in Basel, it is 9c tonight...I got all my windows open...ENJOY!

Well, it's always a swap ... warm weather but cloudy, grey and damp or cold weather but blue skies and sunshine. I'll take the latter. Oh well.

Indeed. But a 9c in January is irresistible, gloomy weather doesn't bother me at all...

Wow awesome, time to take a dive in Rhein ?

Give me cold, clear and sunny any day of the week. Can't stand the overcast 'fohn like' weather Basel can get, whether it be 8 or 28!!

Well it was a balmy 5degC in Zurich today...I had to take my gloves off it got so hot We haven't had any snow worth sneezing at for over a week now and it's been fairly clear, which is a fair change from the last two winters, when if it wasn't snowing it was raining.

The good news is that the "warm" is supposed to continue for the next few days (Thurs high around 10°C). The bad news is, as others have mentioned, in order for it to be that warm here this time of year, that does mean we're going have a few days of rain.

(I knew I wanted to remember to get my huge US sized umbrella from my m-i-l home the other day. Too bad I forgot.)

Cannot get either, what is beautiful about "plus 10" in January in Switzerland. Looks like the snow will melt even in the mountains, I am damn upset about this.

The snow and the cold temperature will come in March and May

Aah Global warming, soon people will flock for Winterfun to Turkey (the country,not the bird) and summer in Switzerland.

Imagine that, holiday at Costa del Basel, drinks at Playa del Zurich..

I don't realy mind about the soft weather we have, ill have it either way it comes,nothing we can do about it or can we...

Fabulous day, again, up here in the Jura. Been shovellin s*** (well rotted farmyard manure) all day onto my vegetable plots as the farmer brought be a tractor full this am - life in the sticks is great. Opened to barn window to welcome the swallows and house-martins that should arrive any time. The pond is getting busy too - orgy starting any time now.
