Very small entry lobby caught between two reinforced doors. Breaking the first door open will cause it to be slammed shut by a gas-operated actuator and two flash bangs to be detonated at a 60 second interval, followed by the release of a teargas canister in the confined space. No speedy getaways guaranteed.
I use chlorine gas (made by mixing toilet cleaner with vinegar) for a more permanent solution...

Re: Enormous number of break-ins in Switzerland

I guess what I am most interested in is an in-depth article about crime trends: who are perps, how is it happening, what happens to the goods... etc.

In the US, many burglaries seem to be drug related and goods are fenced locally. In CH, I do not really see typical pawn shops. I know, when my rucksack was stolen in Zurich HB, my laptop ended up in Geneva within a few days.

As I don't speak/read German that well, it may be right in front of me.

It is reported. For example, in Wädenswil one weekend in December, there were four reported break-ins:

Is this in your make-believe world or in your real one where you seem profess a love for semi-automatic guns and other weapons designed for killing?

Re: Enormous number of break-ins in Switzerland

When they broke into our place in Thalwil, we had to wait a few hours for the police to come. Then they told us it was because we were the 4th one in Thalwil for that evening...

Their guess was that a group of travelling burglars decided to sweep through Thalwil that evening and targeted our apartment because it was dark and on the ground floor.

That would appear to be the same as what happened up the road in Waedenswil which I mentioned a few posts up - again four dwellings were burgled on the same night and similar things were stolen.
