Please donīt start begging 2 francs at tram stations, with all respect to people who donīt have money, it starts to be a bit annoying so say no to so many young people who need the money for others things than food...there is other ways and asking an advance of salary sounds very right one. Good luck, better days will come!
I was just curious - Wondering just how frivalous I am with money really.

But, speaking of stations: Late last Thursday night I came across a young, nonEuropean tourist who had been going by train to Frankfurt airport, from further south. Her handbag was stolen in the seconds she took to turn and reach up for her suitcase off the overhead shelf, as the train stopped in Basel. She was supposed to be just changing trains. However, suddenly having no train ticket, ID, passport, credit cards, phone or cash, she rushed to find a police officer.

At the police office, she was given a piece of paper that would serve as a pass to any border control between Switzerland and Germany. But no other assistance. She asked to make a phone call and was told "No."

I wonder what the police expected her do do next. Become a Refugee? Sleep at the station indefinitely? Starve? Join the group of begging addicts? The poor girl didn't even have the money to have been able to use the public toilet at the station. Not nice!

So it is you who is buying up the 50% Aktion meats on Saturdays. My other half goes there at 2pm and there's none. I go there at 4pm and there's none. Was beginning to think it's a myth. Tell me what time you go and I'll go 5 minutes earlier and I promise I'll take only one or two pieces.
Depends on the store and their opening times as to when they mark down. BTW- I barely hit up the 50% off in Cham (they start with the 25% off first, then wait til last minute for 50%) so it's gotta be someone else.

In Zug most meat to be eaten (or frozen) gets marked down to 25% just before lunch time. Just before closing they 50% all the ones that aren't already sold. You do see people hovering around the sticker man I work right next to Coop and I check out the meat section when getting a yogurt after lunch

And this is when you see the difference between a man and a woman....

The man won't check out the meat section.... He'll check out something else....
