Where to return QŁollfrisch bottles?

Ok, this may be a weird thread, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere and was hoping some of the wise sages on this forum could help me out here...

A long time ago (before I arrived in Switzerland), my ex-boyfriend bought two bottles of QŁollfrisch beer (and promptly drank them, I'm sure ). Don't ask why--but for some reason, after I moved in with him and then we both moved to my new place last year, those empty bottles came with us.

Well, he's been gone for a while, but those bottles are still sitting in the corner of my kitchen. I think he once said that one could return those bottles at select Coop stores for a cash refund? But he wasn't sure which ones.

Does anyone know if such a magical return policy exists in ZŁrich? I don't want to walk into a store and ask because I'll look like a lame-o, and I don't speak German.

The bottles have the metal/plastic clasps on top. (See attachment.)

So... what's the verdict? Where can I return the empty bottles? Or shall I just chuck them in one of those blue recycling bins?

Hm... a bunch of views and not one single response. I'll take that as no one has a clue where to go.

Well, off to the recycling center it is!

My Coop has a machine that takes back the bottles. It spits out a receipt which you then take to the cashier who either gives you the money or credits it to your purchase.

You wouldn't believe how often I've taken back bottles, done my shopping, gone home, and found that piece of paper in my pockets.

Wow, thanks so much for the response!

Can I ask which Coop you are referring to? I'm not sure if I've seen such a machine before...

Take them back to any shop that sells the beer. And buy me another one while you're at it.

Pretty much everyone. The machine is typically next to the "recycling corner" where you can throw away pet bottles. They are usually blue and have a little belt on which you place the bottle.

Give them to me - I'll take them back (and claim the depost) for me - I mean you
