I'd like to try to live in other parts of Switzerland

Geneva is nice, a beautiful city. Maybe not a city for me, it is actually for people with a busy lifestyle, and as of now, I'm not so busy (waiting for something). So, yeah, I'd like to try out other things, might click with me, some place like Zurich or further.

Hi Evita, Welcome to Switzerland. Geneva is just a foot in the door when it comes to the real Switzerland.

What are you looking for exactly? Your thoughts could be interpreted in many different ways.

If you have time ( and some money helps ) on your hands, get a GA and explore CH especially the smaller Dorfs on Postauto, train, ferry, boat maybe stay a night or two and then later decide where to move to.

Zurich is just as busy as Geneva, anyway, it has the largest population and is the financial center of this country.
If you want to relax, I think you can go to the South, Lugano or somewhere near it, the atmosphere seems relaxing there.

Well, Zurich is rather "busier" than relaxed Geneva, so your place might rather be Berne, or Schaffhausen (the "Swiss Pearl on the Rhine"), or Kreuzlingen/Konstanz.

Re: I'd like to try to live in other parts of Switzerland

I have travelled around most of Switzerland. If I do ever manage to move there, my first choice would be Lucerne.

It has a great mixture of old and new, lakes, mountains and countryside. It is not as large or busy as the major cities but is large enough to have a good range of facilities.

Zurich, Berne and Basel are all within reasonable reach from there.
