help! I am becoming a bit Swiss

it dawned on me as I stood waiting to cross an empty road, watching for the little green man to appear....

not withstanding my continued frustrations of restaurant opening times, is this a sign of losing miene grossbritanienerness?

Next week I plan to start jumping queues and smoking whilst skiing

If you start crossing zebra when the car is aproaching and assume it will stop, I would worry. It works only here, anywhere else it's called taking chances.

Re: help! I am becoming a bit Swiss

Do you feel an insatiable need to help those around you when help is not required?
And when someone is in need of assistance, are in too much of a hurry to be able to help, this time.

What is your patience threshold, when you have to wait for others, taking their time, in front of you?

And if the answer is "T", what is the question?

Seek professional help when you turn to Schoki Frey instead of Cadburys!

I'm sorry to hear about this. Can you tell me how long you were here before you started noticing, it would be good to warn the others before it's too late. As long as you didn't start drinking the wine yet, there may still be hope.

Nope. The possibility of a fine for jay walking or whatever the term is here if caught is what stopped me .

At least that's what a good Swiss friend of mine told me in my first few months of being here and he speaks with a Canadian accent . Even if it's not true (never actually bothered to find out) I'm so used to it now...

I gave a 0.5chf tip the other day for an amazing evening meal. Should I be proud of this new-found Swissness?

You started with having some real "Disziplin" ? Well, congratulations

BUT it would not be
"miene grossbritanienerness? " but rather (for a choice)
- meine britische Art
- meine englische Art
- meine aus Grossbritannien stammende Art
etc
