A rich man is not the one who has the most but the one who needs the least.

Maybe a bit OT but I am usually surprised by people asking if an X amount of money is enough to live in Switzerland. Nobody knows for sure how somebody lives or wants to live so they question regardless of information is just a bit silly.
When I was to move here, the first thing I did was took a plane and visited and went into a supermarket, a restaurant, a bakery...I also looked into websites that compared the standard of living of where I was living (the Netherlands) and Switzerland and other countries of course.
Do I make enough money? I am happy to say I do but what is enough for me might not be enough for someone else...
Now back OT I know a lot of people make less than I and a lot of people make a lot more than I do, I just try to be tolerant and respectful with everyone and not assume everybody makes the same I do... | The following 5 users would like to thank for this useful post: | |

True it's not ideal but then student life rarely is. I still got almost 4 years to go so I better not start complaining | | | | | once you graduate you'll start to realize that the more you earn the more miserable your life gets..... so enjoy as long as you can. Best times of my life where the years when I had least money to spend.

Normally you have either a good salary or a lot of free time. When you have neither, things get a bit bad, since being in a rush is expensive...

Actually, you can have both if you are full time employee of industrial company with flexible working hours in R&D which offers you lecturing opportunities at the university, thus extending possibility of taking sabbaticals. Not talking about working from home which is another true paradise
Psst: I don't want to push my luck too far, so short and on the topic |
