"It isn't that I have that much against the post itself. I love a good "man blows himself up in a toilet" story like the next gal. What I find amazing is it has received 943 views. That means 943 people viewed this vs taking a walk outside or meeting a colleague for coffee. Frightening."
I wonder how much time she spent looking for examples of her frightening posts, PLUS that it had 943 views it means it was viewed 943 times not by 943 different people...ahhh

today i was watching a really riveting thread , and although the post number changed, the views number didnt...
but then 943 people in the 6.8 billion on the planet, isn't really that many, is it | The following 3 users would like to thank Rangatiranui for this useful post: | |

I find it scary that she posts her pictures, opinions and her boy for the whole world to see. Hasn't anyone told her this stuff will come back to bite her? Wait. I believe it already has.

At least Google ranks EF above her site for her own blog... http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=eng...&client=safari |

| | Re: Englishforum.ch - Fact or Fiction? (Or how to rant about us) | Quote: | | | | | Funny how its ok to tell readers in one's blog about a website she recommends people to exploit for info and then to get the hell out of Dodge. If only the same could be said of the blog
Or is that post modern irony? | | | | | Just seems some might envy popularity of EF and all the hits it gets, I guess all bloggers watch this...or the eager beaver ones, at least. I don't think it will win her more readership, though. Bashing in all safety of one's blog is like yelling at somebody from safety of one's apartment window. No logic.
What's funny is that she nags over people being emotional and silly on EF, wasting time, while she spends her all morning writing a post about this, apparently has a talk about it with her (real, mind you) friend (albeit only briefly, that made me chuckle) and an ongoing discussion in the reply section. So, what is the difference, exactly? Self promotion, much? The "we are different than those expats" gets old. Since, we are all in the same boat. Some people chitchat about it, some laugh, some feel the urge to bash others in their personal blogs in order to make themselves stand out more..Bah. So high school.
