Something I have just remembered. The time zone database used for computers was for many years maintained by one chap, and he's now retiring.
It's actually quite complex because it contains the history of all the changes, so that a computer can work out the real number of hours between two date and time combinations spanning many years.
The only other country in Europe that doesn't switch to daylight saving is Iceland, but Belarus and Ukraine are also considering abandoning the system.
And at home, a small single-issue party, Daylight Saving for South East Queensland, is gearing up for what it hopes will be a wave of support for its demands when the State Parliament debates a bill seeking a referendum on the issue, probably next month or in May. It wants the state split into two time zones so the south-east - where, it says, the population wants more evening daylight for business and the outdoor lifestyle - can go its own way.
Yes folks, we are now 1hr ahead for DST ( EF server has not quite caught up yet ).
It may be that you need to go into your settings page and adjust it manually. I know I've had to do this in the past twice a year for other vBulletin sites.
Not this morning but yesterday morning when I'd set alarm to get up for skiing it failed to go off... thank god for my OH and his alarm, incidentally I have an iPhone 4 where as he has an iPhone 3.
