Great poll!
Yeah, but the commentary is so much better...
I think it speaks for itself...

That was before I got my Swiss citizenship...

before it was popular to diss the Swiss on EF, and before miserable self-pitying foreigners abounded on EF.

But now that the Herd has taken on that tact, me being anti-herd and naturally adverse to being a part of any kind of herd, see the losing proposition of the attitude of the herd.

I plan to rattle their cages.

Moooooo!

How disappointing. After all that, you're just a common troll. Such a waste! You had potential.

Re: Poll: How do you feel about living and working in Switzerland?

When we think about this...when one moves and all of a sudden is put into some kind of "emergency mode", it is normal to watch oneself a lot more...disect feelings, overanalyze stuff, look frantically for the bliss feeling instead of creating it.

When at home, we live, day by day, it's intense, work, friends, family, school, when does one have the time to sit and actually look inside..never. So if we all of a sudden do it here, it's a normal reaction to the changes, part of survival. It's like newlyweds (sorry for stereotyping, newlyweds, no harm meant), who all of a sudden start asking every single day "ok, so where is this really huge bliss I was so waiting for" not realizing life is always the same...here or back home...it's a period of oversensitivity, I guess.

I wouldn't say all these people are negative naysayers, or downers. It happens to most of us. So, I do understand why we scrutinize all in this phase, and why there isn't that one last "eternal bliss" option in this poll...ok, spiel over.

I feel pretty ok living and working here, some things I adjusted to quickly, some I never will, some surprise me, some irritate. But after all those years, it is starting to feel familiar, more in control, more like I can afford being selective, choose my friends, activities..hm.

Let's analyze the results:

#1: 4
#2: 5
#3: 6
#4: 5
#5: 43

And it doesn't even include people who would have voted for a #6. The results:

This poll is absolutely useless. But it does show that the sampling of foreigners, EF members in this case, have by and large a fairly positive attitude towards Switzerland.

Nope. Just re-emphasizing that those who hate Switzerland are simply noiser than those who love Switzerland. Well, yeah, I know, its like rubbing it in.

Not much no, I am just fooling with you.

I know that deep down, you do feel sorry for those who are down, and I know you wouldn't let someone in it if help is needed to get better.
