Shopping in Lausanne, Geneva

Hi All,
Hope it's been a great week thus far.

I've recently moved to Switzerland after marriage and my husband and I are looking forward to setting up home!
We used to live in the US and liked shopping at the World Market, Pier1 Imports, Bed, Bath, and Beyond....
I was wondering if there are stores similar to these (either chains or independent stores) that we can visit in Geneva, Lausanne or nearby?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies

Have a great day!

In Meyrin near Media Markt, you have Pfister (furniture) and a lamp store. Near Meyrin ville there is a Conforama and Jumbo. Near Carouge there is M-Parc for furniture from Migros. There is the new IKEA near Blandonnet. For smaller things you might want to go to the malls (Balexert and La Praille).

But what about the franchise? And the paperwork that goes along with it?

IKEA is great...but gets boring after a while...we like to mix and match from places...so don't mind taking the time to scout around. thanks for the reccos thus far and keep them coming

You can also go to Etoy (VD), which has a Pfister, Interio and a micasa. They're all on the same road (Rte Suisse) See here.

In nearby Allaman, you can also visit IKEA and Coop's TopTip.

Yes, I would go to Etoy, it is fast becoming the shopping mecca in the middle of nowhere. Avoid IKEA if you don't want their stuff. Etoy has the most variety of furniture I've seen in CH in one spot. Other selections are a bit more limited, but worth the trip. Hornbach has all for DIY and a french interior decorating shop for curtains, etc.
