Imagine how much money you can save by not caring what other people think about your clothes.

If I like something but I see many having it, I won't want it.
Last fall I saw a girl with a beautiful jacket and I wanted to find out where she got it. That same afternoon I saw 4 others girls with the same one and that was it, didn't want it anymore...
I won't buy a shirt if a brand is on it. I don't like to feel like a sandwich woman promoting a brand (and not being paid, and even worst, I had to pay money for that privilege?)

I always get my underwear at K-Mart.
In Cincinatti, as it happens.
400 Oak Street, to be precise. |

| | Re: Migros Budget underwear: cult status? | Quote: | | | | | if something has "achieved" cult status, it means:
- the person who wears it has no own style.
- by labelling something as cult, real cult dissapears in seconds.
real cult status, is never known as cult. (freitag bags, migros budget, ....)
only cult to the dumb mass of consumers. | | | | | I reckon you need to look at this a different way . Its all well and good to look at things as in or out, but think about how much better some people, who cannot afford designer brands and all that crap, will feel if whilst they are buying what is essentially budget ware, that it has some kind of reputation other than cheap. It will make them happier people. There is way too much consumer sobbism in the disposable market, and for those that cannot compete, its a serious problem. How many parents get absolute grief from kids who just want what others at school have? Well Migros Budget cult status gear is a solution for them and I think its great.
I havent finished, being lower income families doesnt make them dumb!

The migro Bugdet line is however the contrary: you save money by wearing the fashionable Budget low price item instead of the "Label"-labeled more expensive one. When non-label becomes a label, logics is the big loser.
On that note, every thing is possible in fashion. Even the infamous Birkenstock have had their time of glory among French snobs in the last three sommers. I'd never thought I would live long enough to actually experience that. My French side finds that soooo odd, my German side is just laughing its pants wet.

I can't believe this. I thought this was all a joke (the cult part at least)! How can anyone think these are fashionable items? Yeah, sure they can look sort of original as a joke but I can't imagine lots of people wearing them -- and making the "fashion" mainstream. Or making you a fashion victim for wearing it. Where do you guys live? Because if I put on that bikini and walked through Geneve Plage I'd look "original" at best. People would still think it more fun than fashion and I doubt they'd rush to buy one the next morning... Maybe Geneva's all pretentious snobs but few people wear freebies as a fashion...
