Re: Does anyone like living in Switzerland?

Hi, it depends how flexible you are... I would definitely give a chance. You can get a flat or house with garden. You can find expat events on the web: https://www.internations.org/zurich-expats
https://www.meetup.com/cities/ch/zür...ch_102109.html
http://www.glocals.com/zurich/
http://www.zurich4you.ch/home.html
http://www.newlyswissed.com/expats-in-switzerland/
etc
You will have to make the first step I guess but then things flow.
I am not sure about work, but once you have established some contacts, you might be busy enough and don't need to work - if your situations allows it.
Summer is great, nature is close: biking, swimming, hiking. Winters are dark but if you ski, you can easily go up to the mountains and enjoy the sun.
Good luck

In my experience, it's a myth that "the Swiss think everything is perfect in Switzerland". They have a sense of responsibility and pride, which shows in how clean and tidy the place is, as well as the fastidious adherence to rules and whatnot. However I have been on the receiving end of a few endless moans about anything from the supermarkets to the schools to the bus/tram to the old biddy living upstairs, as well as the idiot doctor they've just changed from.

I couldn't help smiling to myself that expats and Swiss have more similarities than differences...
I think it is more accurate to say they think everything should be perfect in Switzerland.

Which I think is a good approach to have, rather than accepting crap.

Re: Does anyone like living in Switzerland?

What's the video "11 reasons why we should move to Sweden" doing at the end of the article?
