Ah! That would be the Roestigrippe.

You just need to eat lots of shredded potatoes with cheese and bacon and you'll be right as rain.

Good luck!

Re: Is there a new flu spreading in Zurich??

I think there's a pretty vicious stomach flu going round. Some of the kids at daycare have been knocked about by it. Seems to linger and not show any signs of getting better for a few days then slowly starts to shift.

My son seems to have escaped this lurgy but, nonetheless, I've been dropping him off wearing my full bio-chem suit and pushing him through the door with a barge pole.

Since I've been exercising 3 times a week (for about the past year) I've not been sick at all, not so much as a sniffle, whereas friends and work colleagues have been dropping like flies with all sorts of lurgy.

From the Swine flu scare it seemed the advice was also to keep your hands washed to avoid germ transfer so that could be another tip to follow.

Rösti-Grippe Dübendorf ? Possibly not so much. But there were reports in the media in March or April about insects between the Greifensee and the Rhine along the Glatt, to spread this year, and to be biting happily. With flu-like consequences. It right now also is the season for hayfever.
