Yes, does that prove they were from the Government forces?? The LTTE is known to kill their own just to get some sympathy.. They even shot at their own people who tried to escape from them.. I watch watching the whole thing two years back on BBC, CNN etc.

Did you see the happy faces of the people the forces rescued?

Anyways lets stop arguing and protesting over something that happend two years back.. let the UN and the Sri Lankan government handle the matter.

Its just causing trouble to the innocent swiss and others who live in Geneva who got nothing to do with it
On both sides there has been allegations and issues.
Iam not arguing , just seeing problem on both ends, defnitely its UN or SL government has to handle it nor i or anyone can handle it.

Since UN is in Geneva and UN can understand the issues to react for solution, they are protesting in Geneva only infront of UN.

Dreispitz, I have been making light ( making fun ) of the protesters to some tiny bit ... I can understand their need to protest AND the location for the protests but at the same time I can pretty much guarantee you that the diplomats willl never see nor hear those protests.. they are so far removed from those gates.

Thats exactly the reason.. its just no point.. Its a awful waste of time for the people who participate and for others who has to pass this area..

The weather's is all nice.. do something fun rather than protesting... go out for a walkie.. with an ice cream in hand

Re: demonstration at the U.N.... today (30 May )

again today.............. 30 May...................
.
..
Please be advised that a Tamil demonstration (between 3,000 to 5,000 demonstrators) is expected to take place at the Place des Nations today from 1.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Please avoid the area where the demonstration is scheduled to take place and anticipate some traffic delays in the area.

Many thanks for your understanding.
