Re: Has the rapture hit Switzerland yet?

Didn't notice any "For Sale" signs on the village church this morning. Not that I counted any more than two people headed up for their weekly dose of ramblings either.

Stupid lying priest. If he had not come up with that rapture prank, I would not have emptied my entire whisky collection.

My head....

Re: Has the rapture hit Switzerland yet?

Awfully sorry. Got the date mistaken, can we re-schedule ?

The evangelical broadcaster who left followers crestfallen by his failed prediction that last Saturday would be Judgement Day says he miscalculated. Harold Camping said it had "dawned" on him that God would spare humanity "hell on Earth for five months" and the apocalypse would happen on 21 October.

Mr Camping said he felt "terrible" about his mistake.

Re: Has the rapture hit Switzerland yet?

Sometimes I miss the Bible thumpers of my old neighborhood back in the States. Saturday morning I would have loved to have done this in a place where people cared:

Re: Has the rapture hit Switzerland yet?

I think it's awfully presumptuous of these people to think that Rapture hasn't actually happened.

Chances are that all went to plan on Saturday and the few with the X-Factor are in the hosts' holiday villas in the sky.

Quote:
Some followers donated their life savings or simply gave away their worldly possessions as the day approached. The predicted doomsday was publicised worldwide.

Many expressed bewilderment and shock as the day came and went with no sign of the global cataclysm.
Sorry guys. You're just not good enough. You're not going through.

"If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." - Will Rogers.

"Heaven goes by favor; if it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in." - Mark Twain.

“If I have any beliefs about immortality, it is that certain dogs I have known will go to heaven, and very, very few persons.” - James Thurber

I plan on spending eternity with the Melon-collies. Where- or whenever that may be.

I'm totally with you there. If nothing else, this is proof that the rapture is crap. Otherwise, pets would be raptured or whatever too.
