Moving to Winterthur - cost of living guidance requested

I am moving from Trumbull, CT in USA> What should I negogiate with my employer for a comfortable living for 2 people to live in Winterhur? I mean annual gross salary if health insurance will be paid by the employer. I am not a skier (unfortunately) and a vegetarian.

Any guesses? Appreciate your comments and help.

Skiing and meat are both expensive here so your employer will be happy he doesn't have to pay you for those. Are you sure you wouldn't want to have ski lessons though?

Re: Moving to Winterthur - cost of living guidance requested

Welcome to the Forum.

As you can imagine, you are not exactly the first person to ask a question like this. The answer depends so much on your way of life and the standard of living you hope to keep up.
Someone has kindly put together quite a bit of helpful information in the Sticky Thread at the top of the list in the sub-forum's Threads. Have a good look at that first and then, if you have specific questions which are not answered there (or in the Stickies or Threads in other areas of the Forum) come back here and try again.

Happy hunting
