Your Essential Items from Home list

I thought that I would start a thread on items that you have brought from your home country (excluding food) which makes life more comfortable.

For me from the UK it is:-

The sky tv digibox
Internet telephone with UK number
Slow cooker

Over to you.

This is the land of christmas trees - real ones, and they're cheap .

For me, one large, fast motorbike.

Oh, and Sky.

Four bicycles - one each for the wife and I for the trail and for the road. Couldn't be without them.

I brought my Christmas tree and decs over too...more for sentimental reasons than anything else. Other things:

1. Hundreds of pictures of my family
2. My books
3. My laptop full of music

Ah, sounds like my mom who lives in Oregon. People spend hundreds of dollars to have Oregon fir trees shipped across the country and we have a fake try. I feel offended everytime I come home for the holidays and see that thing.

Anyhoo,
-my high quality knives
-Advil
-Airborn
-a variety of hot sauces

A LOT of African artwork such that my living room now looks like a museum exhibition.

Also my national flag and that quintessential "bokke" rugby jersey .

my favorite pair of jeans and my ipod from the US
a stack of comic books from Belgium
and apparently the dreary weather from there too , a prerequisite for an afternoon of comic book reading, though

Blend 37 coffee. Made by a Swiss firm, but unavailable in CH.
As with Polorise - lots of books (nearly 300, I think).
