My wife is after some (40!) polystyrene drinking/soup cups to do some DIY?
Any ideas where I can still get some?

Yesterday my answer would have been Aldi and Lidl. Today and tomorrow it is either COOP Stadelhofen Bhf or Migros Zch-HB or Zch-Enge-Bhf. M Enge Bhf is narrow and overcrowded, but has quite a lot of things available, I however would recommend the other two places. A 4th place in the region of course is COOP at Winterthur-HB

My wife is supposed to have checked Coop and Migros. We are after the polystyrene type specifically. Not paper or plastic ones. The sort of thing you get mushy peas in at your favorite chippie! It can wait until after Monday, this is a long term project!

You in that case have to wait until Tuesday, and then visit places like Globus, Manor, Jelmoli, Conforama, and visit shopping centres like Glattzentrum and Spreitenbach or Brunaupark/SihlCity. As 40 pieces means that the costs will be between CHF 50.-- and 150.-- anyway, I suggest that you opt for multi-use stuff, even if that may be a bit more expensive
