You all shouldn't complain about 'the heat' because this is nothing compared to other heats in other countries. I lived the past 7 years in the desert and that's what you can REALLY CALL HEAT.

Enjoy the summer please before it gets cold again.

OK but isn't it a bit extreme to live in the desert, I can understand what you're saying but we do have a habit of climatising ... personally, I am disappointed I can't stand it hot as I love Indian/Arabic//Asian culture but can't enjoy unless indoors with the A/C full on (except at night).

Some crazy lightning just now put the power out

I never had A/C at home, and a practically non-working one at work between 1973 and 1989, and since then no A/C also at work. And on holidays, I usually, even in places like Dubai or Cairo switch the A/C in my room OFF. And in the evening in such places and also here in warm weather, check for outdoors places.

Re: The Tropics of Switzerland..

So, after a heatwave of about 3 weeks we have a huge weird storm in central CH (as discussed here) and now we will have a week of temperatures in the late 20's with rain every day, definitely tropical weather.

Is that a polite description for a BANANA REPUBLIC ?
