Today, we received a letter from the Gemeinde (commune), asking for the date of our wedding, so that they could be sure to congratulate us on our anniversary.

I'll be interested to see what happens this July (21 years) and in 2015 (25 years).

They're probably going back through some pending paperwork appertaining to noise complaints received back in 1990, the neighbors were getting restless.
