Post for previous tenant

Hi, I've done a quick search for the above and haven't found anything, plus add a sh**e day at work etc.., so apologies if this have already been answered

We have just received post for the previous tenant, what do we do?

Contact your landlord/real estate agent. Surely they know where the tenant has gone...

you can also give it back to the post office. Previous tenant should have made an "address transfer" before he moved.

thanks guys, have had a crap day at work and the missus was just chuck it, but me being in non london mode, went native and 'we must assist the system.......'

And if he did not, that's the post office problem, not yours. In fact, it may be illegal to do anything but return it to the post office.

Write on the front, "inconnu cette adresse" and put it in the next Swiss Post letter box.

By taking it back to the post office, you are really doing yourself a favour. The post office will send the post back to the sender if they do not have a forwarding address on file. You do not want to be liable for anything the previous tenant may not have taken care of giving notice on and the post going back to the sender may help make sure nothing becomes your problem.
