Wow. That's a new record. We often have people not reading the entire 8 pages before pushing reply... but you didn't even read the first page... or even the first reply...

In fact I did, even the honour killing reply which I don't understand why is it in this thread but anyway.
I won't bore you with why Swiss men marry foreign women so it was just a small reply from my side: because foreign women are better than Swiss women.
And I am holding to my answer after meeting some Swiss women (true, not a lot) and I've changed my opinion about them.
Of course, they are not all the same, but the ones I met...let's say I prefer not to comment.

I promise I will read all the pages again.

I'm sorry that you feel insecure enough to need to put yourself in a special 'better' class that you made up in your head.

Around here, "foreign" usually means from the north-side of the Alps (but still CH)!

In fact I am a happy camper and I don't feel insecure at all.
I have a very nice Swiss female friend who I apreciate and I respect but the rest of the Swiss women I met weren't nice so probably this is why their husbands or bfs left them for foreign women.
Anyway, I appreciate every woman that knows how to treat people, to respect them and that have a big, warm heart, no matter what nationality is she.

I did not mention honour killings and wasn't even going so far. But to be honest: My mother used to be a teacher. Not in a "normal" school, but a charity institution that gave girls which did not find any apprenticeship a household education. She had over the years many Turkish girls from conservative Kurdish families in her classes as their families actively did not want them to make a professional education. She loved them as they were smart, well behaved girls - unlike the German ones as the only ones ending up in this charity would be the ones who did not manage Hauptschule (the lowest middle school), had so bad grades that employers would not want them - typically especially in behaviour - or outright criminal records. Mom liked the Kurdish girls so much that I even met some of them when I was a kid - something my mom would have never done with the anti-social rest of the class.
From these girls, over several decades, were two thirds forced into marrying a Kurdish guy back home who would therefore get a resident permit for Germany and could then move his entire clan afterwards. In one case did the youngest of three sisters get what was supposed to happen to her during the next summer vacation - when she was 17 - and ran away. I would not go so far and say that she was in danger of a honour killing, but it was not much less severe. Her dad kicked her out of the family as she brought shame to them. Her sisters could only secretly meet her and were not supposed to talk to her anymore.

Claiming that an average Kurdish girl living in Germany could leave her family to work in another country, date guys till she finds the right one and then present him to her parents is frankly naive at best. I know some who can and some who clearly cannot, but on average do they not enjoy that much freedom.
I won't argue with your experience. But I will argue that your generalisation is plain wrong. Like your assomption that my In-Law are like that because they are kurds!

One of the reasons some Swiss women don't even try to climb the career ladder is because they don't fancy a future of working twice as hard for less pay and constant little voices telling her that she has not fulfilled her true duty, i.e. to become a wife and mother. And yet, when she DOES become a wife and mother, on come the "what do you do? ah, you're only a housewife, ok, so what is your real job?" comments. You just can't win...
Why can't a Swiss woman be a wife, a mother AND have a job? Just because of this?

Swiss, Anglo-saxon, pink with purple stripes.... whatever..
The truth is, men, regardless of nationality, have been wondering who lost the instruction manual..

And some actually believe it's less complex elsewhere.... fat chance !!

You have to somewhat think of it like a state in geography. This is simply like someone from Ohio not marrying another person from Ohio. Sure, nationality may be a bit of it, but with such small country, why limit yourself?

We do the opposite, my girlfriend cleans the animal/fish, and I cook them (or not).

A couple years ago in Antibes, she spotted the sea urchins, I dove to collect them, she opened them, and we ate them raw for breakfast!

As Swiss are known for being so well organized, Swiss women clearly know this aspect of their men. "Oh I've had enough! I'm looking for some people more interesting like the Italians." I'm just kidding. Okay it's not very funny.
On the other hand, it's probably more interesting for foreign women to meet the Swiss men (regarding the same aspect). Culture difference works well.

And now I'll repeat it: The number one Nationality of foreign partners for both Swiss men and women is German. We are not too different when organizing things, we only lack a bit of the hillbilly attitude...

I beg to differ! German men are as messy as any other men!

My home is a perfect study-habitat example!
