Agreed, water for me anytime. Meisie have you ever read the label? I use it for cleaning brass but it would never go any where near my innerds that's for sure.

My ex-mechanic back in London used to get given damaged and expired diet Colas to degrease engines. Worked like a charm and, being free, was cheaper than anything you could buy for the job. Not for human consumption.

Another doubtful piece of advice on that water thread was to drink cold water with your meals.

Warm water is better.

Well, mah grandma said!

Yes, I know what coke consists of. I don't drink it as well as a very long list of other beverages

I was once advised to drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. I tried it once (apologies for the graphic nature of the next phrase..) and I almost threw up

Re: EF Worst Advice of the Day Thread

It was supposed to be a thread to highlight bad advice but people seem to think it's an extension of the other thread

Seems like a fail of a thread from me

And no cold water with fondue or raclette. It coagulates and solidifies and can give you quite a tummy ache

Ok you see this is what I don't get.. Ones internal body temperature is 37degrees celcius right? So wouldn't it all just heat up once swallowed and not affect the tummy?

the touch of the cold water and the cheese already in the stomach is what solidifies it. This myth is true but there is nothing better than an ice cold beer with the fondue, so I carry the consequences
