Yesterday in Lausanne I saw Shell unleaded on sale at 1.50 but around here about 1.45.

Socar at Bourdonnette, next to the motorway entrance, is at 1.42

Re: Unleaded- how much?

The local paper didn't check all garages- but those at 1.28 are in Boudry, Colombier and 1.29 in Boudeviliier and Gampelen, 1.32 in Fleurier and 1.33 in Dombresson, 1.35 in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Re: Unleaded- how much?

88 Rp./cts in taxfree Samnaun GR.

No VAT either.

Despite being located in Switzerland, you are still required to clear thru Swiss customs (or Austrian customs).

For Switzerland the duty free allowance is Fr. 300.-

I checked around here and the ones in Gampelen ( not in canton Neuchatel anyway) are the same price as before (1.28) and the ones in Marin are at 1.30 so about 3cts cheaper than before. The Ile filling station in Boudry and the COOP pronto in Colombier were already down to 1.28 before last weeks' events so in fact not much has changed really ( except possibly for the more rural areas).

Neuchâtel is certainly one of the cheaper places for petrol in Switzerland which is nice as it's more expensive for a lot of other things.

It seems Neuchâtel responded quickly to last week's events- with several garages lowering unleaded petrol to 1.28 a litre (some rural garages still at 1.39- and anything in between in the Canton). Will be filling up at our local today, and will report back on price. Edit- our 3 local garages are selling at 1.33).

So, how much is unleaded at your local garage today?
Hold on a second. Do they still sell gasoline with lead in Switzerland? They stopped doing so in the United States years ago!

Of course not, it was discontinued on 01/01/2000.

I can't fill up in France because my 2001 Opel Zafira can't take their alcohol-laced petrol.

Re: Unleaded- how much?

1.27, over the border (10 minutes away) in Germany. Otherwise 1.37 (after 3 Rp. discount coupon, which every customer is given anyway, so why don't they just advertise the price as CHF 1.37 ...?).

So use normal 95 sans plomb, and not E10. It's not that hard to find, is it?

Actually yes - 99% of French stations serve three kinds of fuel: 95E10, 98 and diesel. Around Geneva only the Leclerc pump in Ferney has low-ethanol SP95.
