Weird things expats do

So what do you do when living abroad temporarily?

While cooking (like now) I watch Dutch tv online, drink a glass of wine and just think about people back home............

When I lived in Greece, there are was a mountain situated directly between the village in which I lived and England (roughly).

I used to watch the sun set behind the mountain and imagine what my family and friends were doing back home, watching telly, cooking tea, going down the pub...

Then I'd go down the ouzeri and get horribly drunk and forget all about it.

Ah! Happy days!

Now I know why all my knickers are getting too big! I thought I was losing weight

The things you find out on a forum.

Note to self: Hide all the good stuff and leave him the big girls knicks

Re: Weird things expats do

Linguistically very challenged and on my own with a wee lil one and a husband who had to travel extensively for business, I desperately put an ad in the Aarwangen-Anzeiger looking for another mama to share some time with.
