Having recently moved to Berner Oberland and having had the usual time it takes to settle in to a new place, I want to start up a regular meet for people who live in the Berner Oberland area and include everyone in the areas between Thun and Meiringen.
I know there are people out there, but they seem to by shy. So if you are living in Thun to Meiringen area and would like to meet new people, more people, give me a shout.

My wife, daughter and I just moved here a few weeks ago. We live in Goldiwil (above Thun). If we find more people, maybe we could arrange a social get together.

That would be fun! I think there are quite a few people around but they all seem to be hiding, for some reason. I hope you are settling in well.

Actually, a bunch of us English speakers meet on Wednesday mornings for coffee in Thun. I just went to my first coffee meeting this week. You should join us! I'll have to look up the restaurant name, but we meet at 9:30am just off Bälliz, across from the Freienhof hotel. Will get the name of the restaurant soon...

Finally found the name of the restaurant! Sottoriva is the name. It's on Freienhofgasse. If the weather is good, people will most likely be sitting outside by the river. Hope you can make it this Wednesday!

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I'm sure it didn't help that the weather wasn't so nice this morning. Yes, people meet every Wednesday. We'll be out there again next week. If the weather is nice, we'll be outside. Otherwise it's inside in the lounge area.
