Then volunteer your bratwurst/cervelat grilling and french-fry making skills at the next local event. Just find out which club is in charge of the local food services, call up the President, volunteer your services and viola, you are now an accepted part of the local community.
It's that easy. The Swiss, not wanting to be Pestalozzis themselves, are always grateful for someone who will.

well, right now I almost volunteer (I get paid 1000 chf a month) working in a elderly people's home....it seems the only thing they see in me is how much work they can assign me...but I might be exaggerating...

The Swiss, not wanting to be Pestalozzis themselves, are always grateful for someone who will. | | | | | Been there, done that five times - including doing the work of sitting in a cold room by myself, slashing patterns into hundreds of bratworst beforehand, setting up tables and benches, returning to wipe down and fold them all back onto their pallets and them all away after 1am, made cakes to add to the sales profit. (at both Faschanacht and 1 August events)  |
