Dear Members

I am interested to know which sort of grass would be ideal to plant in the garden in this season. Is it even a good idea to plant grass in this season in my garden.

I have never done gardening before but now feels like to take it as a hobby. I am also reading one book on it. Your suggestions suited to local climate would be highly appreciated.

It is very late to plant any seeds outside. The grass plants will not be strong enough to survive the winter.

You need to sow the seeds in the spring. Maybe you could go to your local garden section in Migros, Coop, Jumbo, find a packet of seed and read the instructions.

In the meantime you can read your book, as preparing a lawn is a very big job.

Plant it in September in well-prepared ground. The soil will still be warm and germination should be fairly quick.

When it starts growing well in the Spring, it will be well ahead of anything you plant then.

i would not try the seeds - instead i would have taken grass along with the roots & plant it in the garden which will start growing after a few days of proper watering. When i say proper that means -" No Excess Water ".
