Re: Begging on the train?

The problem is that its all the fake beggars who ruin the market and make people not give money to the people who actually are unfortunate and don't have any money or jobs and desperately need assistance from the locals to put bread on the table.

I'm sure its very hard and very unpleasant having to approach random people on the street so if you dont feel like giving or are unable to just smile and say sorry not this time..

Well worth dragging up a ten week old thread to make those points.
My mistake, I didn't look at the date.

There are no people who need to beg to put bread on the table in Switzerland. There are sure "not so wealthy", but nobody has to stay hungry. There are loads of social security systems in place - a lot of assistance from shelter to food to education to any local in need.

I think UKal you have completely misunderstood this thread.

It is a fact that in Switzerland there is a very generous social security. It is a fact there are also rich charities and volunteers to help those without papers, and those with a drug dependence. There is no need to beg here!

The beggars you encounter in Switzerland have been brought here by gangs of Rumanian criminals. The beggars are beaten every evening if they do not produce enough money. Take the time to watch them, every so often they go off and meet someone around a corner. Young children will often go up to an old woman and receive a slap for not bringing enough money. It is disgusting.

If we stop giving to beggars the criminals will take their employees elsewhere.
