Re: What do you make? Show us your stuff...

I spent the day with the bookbinding people of the Library where I'm in training for two weeks and I made those two little things.

(OK, they helped me a little bit, but I'm very proud)

It was really fun.

Bear Necessities

This set of filigree costume jewellery I made for Reta, my wife's Nidwalden bear-girl (please also see my previous posts). It is made of fine silver and it also includes 80 natural garnets.

You can find many more close-ups in the photo albums, which I've just uploaded on our bears' fan page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Teddiesareus.

Hope you're gonna like them.

This is my first painting ever. I've just finished it for my father's fiancée who is hospitalized in intensive care and can't have real flowers.

I am getting more and more into gemstones and crystals, and making magical pendants out of them (not difficult considering they are just amazing)

Re: What do you make? Show us your stuff...

Todays offering ..... I always wanted to try painting a glass vase. Had no vase so used an empty Grappa bottle (no I did not drink the grappa!) ...... and a dried out lemon wasting away in the kitchen. The flowers are my fantasy.
What you think? (Actually it looks better in real life, than the photo - well that`s my excuse anyway)

And the others are my Stoney Faces "family"

Acrylic. Then I coat them with a glaze.

But I must admit the paint is Windsor and Newton, left over from when I used to paint (pictures) in acrylic.
W&N guarantee their colours not fading for 200 years (hahaaaa WHO has waited 200 years to make a claim for fading paint?)

Now I use oils for paintings. And the acrylic for the stones.
Much easier as the acrylic dries fast, so can cover up mistakes easily.

Re: What do you make? Show us your stuff...

Im hoping this counts as making stuff?

My boyfriend made my bike from scratch (ish) we bought the white frame and basically bought all the bits for it, painted it, added stickers etc and the bright pink bike is the final outcome.

Very happy

Show and Tell: Arts and Crafts!

I've seen lots of threads on people sharing pictures they've taken, meals they've made and I was curious if anyone wanted to share pictures of arts and crafts that they have come up with.
I'm an artist and would love to know/see what others are working on, not necessarily professionally, but just for fun Jewelry, drawings, papercuts, artistic photos, paint by number pictures; whatever...

What do you guys think? Anyone wanna start it off?
