It's tutorials. So it's only as good as they want me to be.
Not true. I couldn't follow a tutorial and get it anywhere near that. Talent is talent. Little Rufus likes the "shish" (we are having trouble with our fs at the mo).

It's about confidence, in my opinion. Your Little Rufus seems to have a heck of a lot of it. (and it's probably for the best that he doesn't know the F's!)

This is a little something I decorated
Loving it!!!
Here's mine, an updated ikea coffee table, added wheels to it too.... It used to be some light wood colour that went orange with years.

She's certainly not backwards at coming forwards etc

I'm pretty confident but I'm no artist!

Pickled, those paintings are wonderful... especially like the fish (shish)!

It's amazing what people are capable of; no matter if it's a tutorial off youtube or a lovely book full of how-to pictures, the main thing is to not claim you can't do something until you've at least tried!!!

I made a foot-and-some large bread bowl and printed a proverb on it before I put the final glaze on and have it fired. To remind myself the funny quibs I grew up with: "the largest slice will come from the bread we try to avoid the most"

My newest painting, which I did from a youtube tutorial by JM Lisondra.

I painted this when it was ridiculously hot and after exhausting all other avenues, decided to try 'mind over matter'. Needless to say, the ship was windswept. I was not.

I am so envious of people that can knit! I was taught many years ago by my great grandmother, but have since forgotten the art. To be fair, I wasn't the best pupil: my knitting was always too tight and I felt like I was wrestling with it!

I teach it, too...rule #1: make sure beginners do not struggle for too long with really tight rows, it is the main demotivator since it takes the therapeutical value out of it.

One thing that holds, though - your brain has not forgotten it. You should come to a knitting retreat (wknd) with us, it is crazy good fun/classes/yoga/food. Although this year I will probably skip, glued to work.

I'll look out for your post next year! How have I gone my entire life without hearing of a knitting retreat!

Back in London, I used to attend 'Stitch and Bitch' evenings at the local pub. I'll be honest, there was a lot more bitchin' than there was stitchin'!

I love Zpagetti by Hooked. Such an amazing t-shirt yarn. I could not resist.

There are a couple weekly get togethers in Zurich. If you're on Facebook, search for Zurich stitiching.

Thank you :-)

Here's what is looks like framed. Printed on Hänemuhle rag, warm toned. The image size is 10x10 inches.

The analog movement is in full swing. The main players Ilford, Kodak and Fuji are developing new products all the time (and making a profit) and there are some new startups who are doing some fantastic work.

Young digital era photographers wanting to distinguish themselves from their peers are going on a journey of the history of the art and primitive methods are being revived. Hallelujah!

There is a shop in Zurich (ars-imago) who are dedicated to analog and not in a small way.

I love my darkroom. It's my refuge. The dark red light, the gentle sound of water running, the smell of fixer...

Enlargers, dryers and tanks used to show up in Brokis fairly often for very little money, but they're pretty rare nowadays.

Re: What do you make? Show us your stuff...

I was kinda jealous of all the knitting prowess of the people in this forum. I'm not a good knitter. But I suddenly felt the urge to do something crafty after seeing all those gorgeous big projects.

I got my moulinés out (most of which have been inherited from a defunct DDR factory), and had some fun.

I did this in such a short time, I am already collecting ideas for the next project... It's fun to do something colourful and with a grid, after long boring days fixing stuff in the construction site...

No pictures, but today I put the rear axle back in my car. Once I put the front suspension in tomorrow it will be the first time that it has stood on it's own wheels since 2003.
