There are some amazing things in his thread. I'm a writer, and not much of a craft person. But I did carve this out of a block of wood: https://ibb.co/cbPesd | This user would like to thank Wisescarab for this useful post:

Reviving this old thread to post a couple of paintings done during the lockdown. The first one is a watercolour done after a snowshoe hike around the Druesberghütte (Hoch-Ybrig) in February.
The second one, which I did last weekend, is a pastel of the countryside between Kriens and Schwarzenberg, just on the outskirts of Luzern, looking towards the Napf. | The following 11 users would like to thank stephen_NE for this useful post:

It's a fantastic piece of furniture.

I used to work for the Royal Watercolour Society at their gallery in London and Stephen_NE is showing here that he's very talented. The watercolour of the mountain is lovely and he should think about submitting something for the summer exhibition they hold annually that's open to non members of the Society.

I did this one for a creative challenge at work that ended up getting cancelled, but thoroughly enjoyed doing it anyway. I don't normally put anything other than the landscape in my landscapes :-)

I think all the things I have posted on here has been pastels, with the exception of the watercolour higher up on this page. I used to do more watercolours (thinking back 20 years plus) but have completely lost the habit.
It's a shame more people don't post on this thread. Looking back 5 or 6 pages, there are lost of us drawing, painting and making stuff on here.

Looking towards the Rigi from above Malters, done after a hike in the area just before Christmas. The sky was doing all four seasons at the same time, it ended up raining a couple of hours later.

First pastel of the new year... this is a view above the Zürichsee, on the way down from the Stöcklichrüz towards Einsiedeln.
