Here's my latest effort, finished last week. This is a pastel drawing of the Vallée de la Sagne between Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. Done from a photo that I took during a snowshoe hike a few years ago.
That is absolutely beautiful and stunning.

Ah but the thing is, there is actually very little white in there at all. I used a mixture of blues, greys and even some light mauve to do the snow. The only really white bit is the right-hand side of the valley which had the sun full on it.

Really? I wouldn never have guessed! It looks amazing

I recently got my hands on a projector and got to try something I've been wanting to do for ages, video projection, or projection mapping.
This is my first attempt with Quartz Composer, a tool I've only recently become aware of, and it's routing the webCam footage from the laptop, through some filters, and then projected onto a box. Not terribly exciting yet, but a good start. Going to figure out how to do some more animated changes next.
Not sure if this totally fits the thread, but I "make" music. I couldn't bring my whole studio to switzerland, but i dragged a few things over. Check it out.

Bit of a random post here but see pics of a homemade television wall stand. I wasn't too happy with all the Ikea options as I really wanted a red backdrop for the tv.
If anyone wants full details of how to do this, they can pm me. It's much cheaper than buying one too.
But as a simple summary - it consists of four Ikea magnet boards and a run-of-the-mill tv wall hanger. The magnet boards were cut to accommodate the tv and then an easy wall frame made of wood was fashioned and painted red, to which the magnet boards were attached.
Below is a wee tabletop stand you can make using Ikea legs and a small door you purchase separately. There's a red Ikea Lack box on each side - one to hold various adapters and entertainment related paraphernalia and the other firewood (tv sits on the same wall beside an old fireplace).
P.S. Sorry about the image on the right being flipped. Not sure why it did that after uploading.

One of my (far too) many hobbies is railway modelling and, in addition to building things for my own layout (1930s GWR steam in Shropshire, UK), I also build for friends.
The following are pictures of a pub and a signal box completely scratchbuilt in mixed media and built in 4mm scale (4mm on model = 1 ft on prototype) for some chums.
The models have scratchbuilt and illuminated interiors. Just as a size reference, a British 50p coin will just about cover up the front door of the pub.
