Ahem... your location says Zurich... as in City of Zurich? You know where most of the city's water comes from, don't you?
What matters are the details, as outlined here (translated from the official text) :

Seewasserwerk Moos

The Seewasserwerk Moos is in Wollishofen at the border to Adliswil. Here, up to 80'000 m3 lakewater per day are transformed into drinking water. To this some 20'000 m3 water from wells of the valleys of Sihl and Lorze
are added.

The whole structure was taken into service in 1914 . While the exterior is under "memorial-protection", the installations always were kept up to the latest technical standards.

Wasserfassung

The lake-water is taken at a place at the city-border at a depth of some 30 meteres and several hundred meters offshore. There, the water temperature throughout the year is between 6 and 8 degrees centigrade.

Wasseraufbereitung

In the Seewasserwerk Moos the water goes through natural active-coal-filters and sand-filters, and is treated with ozone. The ozone is taken out by the coal-filters totally.

the building right beside the one above

is the local school-house for the 4th up to 6th classes of primary school and had to be completely renovated some 40 years after it was built due to the abysmal quality of the construction

Ok - on a rant as I'm cleaning the apartment. EVERY week, I have to DECALC the shower, coffee machine, water machine, and now I think to myself geez -- what if I drank this stuff??? My doctor would say sorry Ma'am but your stomach and liver are petrified. Is anyone else afraid?

Also - does anyone else worry that when we use the "toilet" there is aways a brush? Why do we have to "brush away stuff" or is this common in Europe? In the States - no brush, we have well designed toilets that flush with the proper water pressure. It's gross to me to have to bring out a brush that other people have used "to do stuff" even in my own home.

Sorry guys, bit of rant as my cat died yesterday and not even happy with animal healthcare here, let alone people care. She had renal failure and in NYC my other cat had it -- much more available in NYC to that cat to help him than here. And not going into my medical experiences here (nothing major, but compared to the States, bosh). Go down Obama with your heathcare. If you can pay, company sponser or otherwise, best medical care right now in the States.

Otherwise, I love living here.

Thanks for listening.
Which is one reason I always carry my toothbrush with me
