That is a wonderful post!

There must be something in the air today because I had similar thoughts today when driving through the hills of Canton Schwyz to work.

Nyonais has made some interesting contributions
Re: What I think is important about life here. Pretty long, save it for a coffee or s

Well said Caviarchips. Exactly my thoughts (as I have expressed elsewhere). I totally agree that a Swiss teacher, lawyer, stacker or a Nyonais is much better off than a teacher, lawyer, stacker or a Nyonais anywhere else.

Congrats on your baby to you and your partner, make sure she is happy, too. Baby blues are lurking...

Thanks for sharing.

Agree with you, Switzerland is a great place to live. It's beautiful, easy to get around, there is lots to do and the people are reserved, but friendly.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to be living here.
If you have to do an overseas assignment (as we do, for my husband's work), this is the place to be!

Whether CH is a great place to stay or not is irrelavant.
With positive people like the OP and their active contribution in growing their geneology I am sure any place will become a great place if it is not one already...

On a more serious note.. congrats on the new arrival.

Aha, so all this complaining on this message board is actually just to keep the "secret" of Switzerland hidden so you can have it all to yourself. Now I get it

Congratulations - a lot of what you wrote is summing up why I want to move

Have just come back from 3 weeks in the UK so you really summed up how I feel about life over here at the moment. Won't depress everyone with what I found and experienced over there but let's just say thank god I am back.

Congratulations of the arrival of your son, you'll soon be able to post on the Cute Things Kids Say thread. Enjoy your time, they grow up into cheeky teenagers far too quickly!
