I've only been here a few weeks, but your words express wonderfully the thankfulness I, too, feel towards this country and its people. A good place for starting a family.
enjoy your state of grace!
all the best

Wonderful post to start the weekend with, though, just found it. Big congratulations to CC on the birth of his son.
Switzerland really is fantastic. Really, the only reason we're leaving is because it wouldn't be fair on my son's future life to go through the secondary school system here. If we were childless, or had come some years earlier with much younger kids, we'd be here indefinitely and eyeing up a future red passport.
Aw... now I'm all sad Will go and read cheery OP again.

Thank you, Caviarchips, for the delightful post.
I missed it originally because I was in London, and now it's too late to add my thanks to the long list.

very lovely post. These are the things about CH that I love so much. Life here really is as worry free as it can get in 2011... isn't it?

Thanks for the great post !
I am in CH for 2 weeks now, a bit lost, but your post reminds me how lucky I am, even if it is a bit hard at first.
Welcome to your baby boy and congratulations to the parents !

Congratulations to the Family Caviar
I've been in CH for a couple of weeks now, and frankly loving it. Sure, some things seem tricky (where do I recycle tetrapak?) but overall, it's pretty damn good |

What a wonderful post and congratulations to you all. I think we all have our bad days and maybe days when we wished to be back in our homelands ( i know i do) but when i sit on the balcony at 04.30 ( the time i get up for work ) and all i can hear are the cow bells, and then on the train to work i first pass the Rheinfalls and then i can see the wonderful snow capped moutains i think would i really want to go back as i would never hear or see these things anymore,

Very nice post. I started reading it a few days ago, and left it for the weekend. Today, my 3-year old (with a bad cold) woke me at 6:30, and I KNEW: "Time to read CC's post" !
Congrats on the Caviarette (don't know if it sounds OK for a boy, but you get what I mean), and thanks for the wonderful post. | This user would like to thank Caleb for this useful post: | |
