If I thank a colleague who did something I approve of, I might do it a couple of hours later than the thread got moved. Or, a few mins, or whatever. Or, just leave it up to him/her, since we don't usually try to interfere when we see a colleague dealing with an issue. If 2-3 peeps start meddling synchronized with the same moves, it makes bordel.

Nope, it's gone. As already discussed on another thread, you can't have your cake and eat it, so there's no point in allowing cake, since that would just lead to unnecessary temptation and, as Moral Arbiters Of All Things, we here on EF are helping people resist that temptation.
Cake's off. Deal with it.
