| | Pick up at the Zurich Airport
Please help. My parents will be flying in from US tomorrow and I will be picking them up. I will have no way of getting in touch with them when they land. Can anyone help me figure out which way I should drive and where they should come out so that we can meet ?
Thanks.

As far as I have gathered in my pick-ups, everyone seems to arrive in the same place .... Terminal 2 arrivals. (Unless arrivals from USA are different to normal?)
You park in Terminal 2 - watch the overhead signs to get into the right lane.
The quick-pickup option (extreme right lane) only allows you 15 mins of parking - more for frequent travellers with no hassles. So the other is more convenient and leisurely, and a bit more pricey .. about Sfr8 an hour.
Anyway, you are sure to get more EXACT info in the following posts. Mine was just a beginner to get the ball rolling..... | The following 2 users would like to thank smoky for this useful post: | |

As has been said, US flights arrive Terminal 2. All disembarking passengers have to pick up their luggage and go through customs, which means that there is one exit from customs into the general waiting area, and one exit only. You can't miss them!

Meet at arrivals area. It is not huge, you will find each other.
There are signs from Bellvue (past the University) and Zurich HB (Milchbucktunnel).

Thanks. | | | | | You should make one of those big signs saying "Mom and Pop" and wave it around at arrivals.
Then they'll be able to find you.

But most international flights land in Arrival 2. Park yourself near the entrance as it gets very crowded. You wont miss them.
But OP, please check the ZH airport website. There is a live update of arrival flights, even for the next day.

Arrivals......same as everyone else! Its pretty straight forward and you can follow the signs there. You can even park outside for 20 mins or so.
And if you go by train its even easier!

Zurich isn't Heathrow. Everything is very well-organised and relaxed - well signed too! Very easy to pick up somebody, in comparison to every other airport I've been before. No need to worry! |

Chatting away to the aspirant traveller I once missed the airport turnoff and took the next one .... and circled round and round some industrial type area, in the dark, until finding someone who actually could give me direct directions back to airport ...... we arrived JUST in time for his flight!

ahemm... are you serious? It's pretty easy!
... well you always have to leave the motorway on the right side (even if it's not apparent on the map..). |

Once off the motorway you will see signs for arrivals and the road veers up and to the right, take the left lane and follow the road down(don't worry if you somehow go to departures, the road comes out at the same place further down), drive past all the arrival short term parking right through to the end and the road will veer up and to the left. As you continue, round the bend you can go straight or left, turn left into the car park area (be careful of cars coming from behind left of you). I usually go to the 2nd section.
Park and find the lift.
Go to level 1, you get out the lift and will see the car park ticket payment machines ahead of you. You'll need them.
Turn right and head through the doors on your right.
At the end turn left and head down the stairs to arrivals 2.
The exit to arrivals to will be on you right hand side when you leave the stairs. There you will find your family.....
Go back the way you came.
I think that is right..
