Love this thread. T minus 3.5 months until I move to Zurich. I'm starting A.2.1 German tomorrow, and probably will think of that Ashtray simile every day. Can't say I didn't try.

..That I will actually miss living in China (which was far more fun and easy by comparison)..That the term anal-reten*** will be re-defined for me in Switzerland..That 'quality of life' is a very relative term

Books under 209 chf are VAT exempt. If over that amount, the taxation rate is 2.4%. Buy to your heart's content at Amazon if it's books. The postman won't know this rule so you'd better know it before he shows up at your door with your books so you can challenge him. I was charged my first time accepting books.

Well, Sada, interestingly enough, I am (was) America, but now officially Swiss. So, I am not so sure you would be wasting your time on
me. I actually find you to be the sexiest person on the forum (judging purely by your posts, I have never met you). And about your chest...well, you just got me fantasizing with that comment...
