May be useful at a later stage, who knows. So I would encourage them to go ahead. |

| | Re: My red passport arrived!! | Quote: | | | | | I guess you know what you have to do now:
1) Schweizer wählen SVP
2) Rise above the Ausländer on this forum, assume an air of superiority
3) Defend pointless conservative Swiss traditionalism just because you can | | | | | BUT
4) Aus Liebe zur Schweiz --- FDP wählen (out of love for Switzerland, vote for the Liberals)
5) Für soziale Gerechtigkeit --- SP wählen (for social justice vote for the Social Democrats
6) Für Umweltschutz und wirtschaftlichen Fortschritt -- GLP wählen (for environment protection and economic progress -- vote for the Green-Liberals
*** if you are at home right-of-centre but dislike SVP, FDP, CVP and GLP, you still can vote BDP, a party whose primary identification is that they are NON-SVPler | This user would like to thank Wollishofener for this useful post: | |

Does that mean you only eat Rösti, Schnipo, and Fondue now? | | | | | Schnipo and Röschti YES, but Fondue only twice per year, but twice per week, as he is in Zürich ZüRI-GSCHNETZLETS ! plus 2 times per week a grilled Cervelat and 2 times per week a grilled Bratwurst
Because you see, he has not become primarily a CH-citizen, upon authorisation of the Swiss Confederation, but he has become a citizen of the Canton of Zurich upon authorisation of the State Chancellory of the Canton of Zurich (issuer of the CH passports in the Canton of Zürich), and this automatically made him a CH-citizen. So that his prime-obligation is not towards the union but towards the Canton |

I bet your Swiss passports don't have a warning from the Queen Her Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State Requests and requires in the Name of Her Majesty all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance, and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary. i.e. don't mess with this gentleman
P.S Well done | | | | | What it does not mention is the last line in the quote "because we won't"...
Congratulations Carl

@ Karl.
Congratulations.
I wanted to add this little bit of "paperwork" to the moment.
Remember that you now need to change your drivers license and ownership papers (the grey card) for your car(s) to reflect that you are now Swiss.

It's been a long, long process, both mental and bureaucratic, but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Now, if I could just pronounce Chäsiküchli correctly.. | | | | | Congratulations!
And the "Chäschüechli" will follow! |
