Jeûne fédéral

Happy Jeûne fédéral to all Vaudoise and Neuchatel residents!

I'll catch up on the housework on this lovely day.

Re: Jeûne fédéral

Not sure how "happy" it should be
The Jeûne fédéral is historically considered a day of prayer, it's a day of fasting (traditionally you're only supposed to eat plum pie !)

Have a nice one.... I'm being a "femme d'intérieur and maîtresse de la maison" as well today

That's the day when Neuchâtel looks pretty deserted.
They're either gone to Lyssach's IKEA or at the Hyper U in Pontarlier.

Re: Jeûne fédéral

I was supposed to spend my day at the Comtoir in Lausanne having fun with my kids...

In the end I spent my morning in ER with my sick baby... Why kids always get sick on days off???

If you ever go shopping in Pontarlier, pop in for coffee.

Re: Jeûne fédéral

I went to Aarberg to buy some painting supplies and, driving through the area around Ins, noticed from the election posters that the local SVP candidate is called Albert Rösti. What a wonderful name for an SVP candidate.

The Jeûne fédéral is.. a day of fasting
which was decreed, apparently, by the Federal Diet:
