| | I got freaked out today because...
Freak out #1.
I was chopping some broccoli up and almost cut a big fat caterpillar in half! Poor dude, I'm sure he got the fright of his life
Freak out #2.
I showed my daughter (3 years old) and she asked me if she could eat him.
We took him outside this evening and laid him in the garden in a nest of some broccoli leaves. Poor little fella.

Ha ha... she wanted to eat him! Mmmm. Protein!
Something a bit similar happened to me recently. I was in Migros a few weeks ago, and as usual, trying to find a decent head of broccoli here can be quite the challenge.
So I had one in my hand and was inspecting it and suddenly noticed a worm crawling around inside of it, beneath the plastic wrapper. Needless to say, I have now come to realize that one cannot be too careful while inspecting broccoli here. I wonder how many caterpillars, worms, etc. I've already unknowingly eaten. | This user would like to thank Pancakes for this useful post:

My Girl, that's totally classic! I would've so loved to have seen both yours and the poor caterpillar's faces right at that moment!
So happy it survived to see another day and that Mini My Girl didn't get her own way on this one! | This user would like to thank ximix for this useful post:

There is nothing worse than finding a caterpillar in your brocolli...
...except for half a caterpillar that is.
