No street lights in Pfaeffikon, Zurich

Hey

I'm not sure if the day light savings hour has somehow messed up the street lights but they don't seem to be working in Pfaeffikon.

I can see lights across the valley in egg. It seems very strange. Anyone else experiencing this?

Maybe some parishes are keener on saving electricity than others. Maybey Pfäffikon thinks that everyone should be tucked up in bed asleep at the time you wrote this.

Re: No street lights in Pfaeffikon, Zurich

It all depends on what the Gemeinde is using to control the lights. Some will be using a 'timed' switch which turns them on/off at set times, while others would have a 'twilight' switch, which automatically turns on/off the lights according to the amount of light (obviously more accurate than a set time).

On that note, you should also notice that later at night (around 00:30), that certain main street lights will stay on all night and others will be turn off. This is to reduce and save electricity (wasted) electricity.
