Butcher in Zürich

More than a year ago, when we first moved to Zürich, we had a conservation with another foreigner in the supermarket who told us about a really good butcher in Zürich who had a lot of Argentine meat - from memory it was somewhere around Helvetia platz or Escher-Wyssplatz, somewhere in west-Zürich.

We are hosting next weekend for about a dozen people, and are looking for somewhere where we can get some good meat at reasonable prices. Does anyone know of the butcher mentioned above? Can anyone else recommend a good butcher or competitive place to get good cuts of meat? Or is time for a tour to COOP?

Quote:
Only the best breeds and producers.

beef is not the same as beef, pork and pork is not the same. Therefore, we only accept meat from particularly suitable breeds to our assortment.

We concentrate on pure breeds aware, because their meat tastes better and more delicate than that of mixed breeds or pure dairy breeds.

We attach particular importance to responsible producers, as we consistently put on quality. The animals come about solely by local businesses.

These guarantee that the animals are humanely kept and fed. The traceability of each product is guaranteed thanks to a comprehensive animal movement database at any time.

Unannounced spot checks, the companies and their houses are regularly checked by independent experts. The audit will include: health, housing, feeding, cleanliness, transport to the appropriate documentation.

Together with us wear these producers to the fact that an excellent final product. We emphasize that the animals are slaughtered without prior shipments locally. Because the producers come up close, intensive and regular contacts with them possible, which is important to us.

In addition, we complement our product range at the request of our customers with first class goods from abroad: Beef from the USA, Brazil, South Africa and Argentina and lamb from Scotland, Australia and New Zealand. Thus, each product is declared transparent and comprehensive.

Re: Butcher in Zürich

The one with the cheaper prices (e.g. Brazilian fillet of beef CHF 56/kg) is Angst/Carmelo at the Zurich abbatoir: www.carmelo-shop.ch
